Payday Loans Pros and Cons

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carrie_Reeder]Carrie Reeder Payday loans have pros and cons, just like any type of credit. Used wisely, payday loans can get you through a cash shortage quick. They can also help you avoid outrageous late fees and hits to your credit record. However, they are not the best credit option for long term credit needs. Cash advances are also limited to no more than $1500, less in some cases. Fast Approval, Fast Cash One of the prime benefits of a payday loan is that you can get approved and have your cash fast. Online applications take only a few minutes to fill out, especially if you choose the no fax option. Once submitted, your approval notice will show up in minutes. By the next business day, your cash advance will be sitting in your checking account. No other form of credit can do that. In addition to a fast process, there is no credit check. Lenders simply request personal information, source of income, and account info. Skipping Late Fees Payday loans offer financing fees that are usually less than late fees, especially if you add on a NSF fee. A few bounced checks can quickly add up to a hundred dollars. But cash advances fees are typically around $15 for every $100 you borrow. You should also consider the affect of late payments on your credit history. Late or missed payments stay on your report for seven to eleven years, increasing your interest rates for years to come. Find Better Long Term Credit Payday loans were never meant to be carried for several months. They are just designed to get you to your next payday. If you want several months or even weeks to pay off your loan, choose long term credit. Credit card rates are a fifth of payday loans. Personal loans are even better. Loan Caps Depending on where you live, there are caps on how much you can borrow. Most lenders cap their loans at $1000, but some will go up to $1500. However, if you live in Illinois, your payday loan limit is $400. $300 if you live in California or Hawaii. Your income will also affect your limit. For larger loan amounts, you can turn to other sources of credit. Credit cards and personal loans can be helpful for unsecured debt. Safe Natural Treatments for Head Lice

By Wayne McDonald If you are like most parents, you want a safe and effective treatment for head lice. Most treatments are toxic and are not recommended for toddlers. Here are three different treatments from parents. As always, this is not medical advice. Please check with your doctor if you have any concerns. Treatment#1 Combine 1/2 tsp. each of Eucalyptus, Pennyroyal and Rosemary. Then add 2 1/2 tbls. pure olive oil. An Adult needs to try the mixture on his/her skin to make sure it doesn’t burn. If it does, add more olive oil. After washing your child’s hair with very hot water (as hot as the child can stand!) Comb the oil mixture through hair with a regular comb (throw away kind) Then use a flea comb, comb out any nits or eggs. Tie a cotton scarf around child’s head and leave on over night. It may tingle, but if it burns wash out immediately and dilute the mixture and try again. THE NEXT MORNING Wash hair with a good tea tree shampoo. This should take care of the lice, however if necessary repeat the treatment. To prevent lice (when it has been reported in your child’s school) rub tea tree oil or sassafras oil into the scalp. Treatment#2 A natural alternative to killing head lice is to use mayonnaise. Cover the entire scalp and hair with mayonnaise, cover with plastic wrap and leave on about half an hour. Shampoo and remove all the nits or eggs. Treatment#3 For best effectiveness, use a safe, pure soap like Botanic GOLD and carefully follow the directions below. Every step is important. On a dry head, start at the nape of the neck along the hairline and work around the head saturating the hair as you go moving towards the crown where the hair is tied up. Remove the clips or pony tail and continue to apply the soap using enough to completely saturate the hair. Massage the head and work into lather then comb through hair to ensure coverage (use a metal, regular toothed comb). Wrap or tie the hair back up on top of the head. Every ten minutes or so, massage the hair until 30 to 40 minutes have past. DO NOT RINSE AND DO NOT ALLOW TO DRY. (Reapply if necessary to keep moist.) The next day, follow the instructions above “THE NEXT MORNING”. NOTE: DO NOT USE Botanic Insecticidal Soap. Sanitation Instructions for ALL Treatments Lice are highly contagious and it is extremely important that they are eliminated as fast and completely as possible. When lice are first detected, it is wise to launder everything with which the infected person has come in contact. Use hot water and a non-toxic liquid soap. Copyright 2005 Wayne McDonald. Becoming a Vegetarian – Some Useful Tips

By Sarah Blackett 1. Do some research – Not as hard as it sounds, search the internet and you’ll find many sites with information relating to being vegetarian. Alternatively, visit a library or bookstore, there are many good books on the subject. 2. When you are shopping look at what vegetarian food is available in the shops. Many supermarkets and food stores, especially the larger ones, tend to stock an increasing range of vegetarian convenience foods, such as veggie burgers, sausages and other frozen or chilled foods that are suitable for vegetarians. Also any health food shop or natural food store will have a good selection. 3. Buy a vegetarian cook book. There are literally hundreds to choose from, there are many that specialise in quick and easy recipes, and many are aimed at beginners who are becoming vegetarian too. Some also specialise in different types of food, for example, Indian, Italian or Chinese. 4. Try a vegetarian recipe – There are literally thousands of them out there, you can easily find them on the internet, from the many recipe books available, or many cookery magazines will have vegetarian recipes. 5. Buy some vegetarian food, don’t be afraid to try new things such as the many meatfree replacements out there. However don’t rely too heavily on the meat replacements for the meat you eat, but also think about the vegetarian foods you already eat, and try to include more of these in your planning, for example macaroni cheese, vegetable lasagne, baked potato with cheese, spaghetti with tomato sauce, pancakes or vegetable soup! This will help you when becoming a vegetarian. 6. Decide if you want to convert gradually/quickly – and make a plan! Some people go vegetarian overnight, perhaps if they’ve read about or seen a TV documentary about what happens in slaughterhouses. This way you would get the benefits sooner and know that you were doing it immediately might make you feel better, but you would need to have done some planning and be around people who are supportive of your decision and not have any major disruptions in your life. The making a gradual change plan gives you time to plan when becoming a vegetarian. You’ll be more likely to stick to your new diet and you’ll have less disruption. However you need to make sure you don’t start eating unhealthily as a quick way to replace meat, for example with lots of cheese, eggs and high fat dairy foods. Also it’s a good idea not to take too long on going vegetarian altogether or you could end up not cutting out the meat completely. If you want to cut out meat gradually, you could first cut out the red meat, then the chicken and finally the fish, choose whatever you think will suit you. 7. Beware Hidden Animal Products Check the labels when buying food. Of course depending on where you live, the labelling will be better in some places than others. Look out for the “suitable for vegetarians” label. There are many animal products used in everyday foods that make them unsuitable for vegetarians. The most common of these are: Gelatin/gelatine – Protein from the bones, cartilage, tendons and bones of animals. Often found in desserts and yoghurts, but also some sweets and marshmallows. When you see any tempting chocolate desserts check the label, in many cases it contains gelatine! The same goes for many yoghurts especially the low fat ones. Organic yoghurts and other dairy produce is more likely to be vegetarian. Rennet – This comes from the stomach lining of slaughtered newly born calves. It is used in the making of cheese. However more cheeses are being made vegetarian all the time, they should be labelled as suitable for vegetarians but unfortunately aren’t always. Animal Fat – Most often found in cakes and biscuits. Cochineal (E120) – Red food colouring, found in some sweets, made from crushed insects – would you really want to eat that? Eggs – Only buy free-range! Hand Feeding your Koi

By Brett Fogle One of the most rewarding and entertaining things about having a Koi pond is when your fish finally start eating out of your hand. There is no better way to learn each fishes’ personality and temprament than to have them nuzzle your fingers when they are hungry. The key to training your Koi to eat from your hand is patience and conditioning. Like any wild animal Koi have a natural distrust for anything that they think can hurth them, and you’re plenty big enough to do that as far as they are concerned. If your goal is hand feeding then you need to start training from the very first time that you feed a new fish. Of course, it’s not too late to start training your existing fish, but it’s easier if you start out that way. If you have been feeding your fish by simply broadcasting the food on top of the water then stop doing that immediately. Instead, bring your feed bag next to the pond and kneel down. Then, place a few pellets in your hand, submerge your hand, and let the pellets slowly fall out. Don’t worry if your fish seem to not be paying attention. They know that your hand is in the water and they know that pellets just appeared out of nowhere. Eventually one or two will swim up and eat. When that happens, the rest of them will follow. Continue slowly dropping pellets from your hand until you have fed your normal amount. Repeat that process for about a week. The following week, set up as you did last week, but this time submerge your hand and hold the pellets in your slightly cupped palm. Hold your hand steady and don’t make any movements. Eventually at least one fish should come over and eat from your hand. It is essential that you do not make any quick movements while this is happening. Remove your empty hand and repeat the process. If the fish will not approach your hand to feed, then do not fedd them that day. They won’t starve to death, believe me, and they will be a little bit more likely to eat form your hand the next time that you offer them food. Once you have them to the point that they will eat form your palm, it is time to teach them to take the food directly from your finger tips. Simply grasp a pellet, submerge your hand, and wait untilt he boldest fish approaches. Once he eats the others will follow. If they don’t you know what do to. Justfeed the ones that will eat from your hand and let the others miss a meal. Hunger is a great motivator for Koi… Once you have your Koi eating out of your hands you can alternate between normal feeding and hand feeding for those times when you’re in a rush and just can’t sit down and enjoy your fish. ************************************************ Brett Fogle is the owner of MacArthur Water Gardens and several pond-related websites including macarthurwatergardens.com and pond-filters-online.com. The Memory Pill for Treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Louis_Tinnin] Louis Tinnin Researchers at Harvard University are testing the Memory Pill featured on 60 Minutes November 26, 2006. Their hypothesis: propranolol neutralizes the emotional pain of traumatic memories, even those laid down many years ago. This would relieve the immense emotional burdens of millions who suffer the consequences of combat trauma, traumatic accidents, illnesses, or abuse in childhood or as adults. Propranolol (trade name, Inderal), a beta-blocker, is a familiar medication used for high blood pressure, angina, heart diseases, tremor and a variety of nervous symptoms. Its major effects slow the heartbeat and reduce blood pressure. It works by counteracting adrenalin. It also apparently counters the adrenalin effect on memory in the brain, which seems to take the sting out of fearful memories. People taking propranolol regularly for the usual reasons dont notice any change in their response to fearful memories but the laboratory subjects go through certain steps that produce a special experience. They tell and write out the story of their traumatic experience from beginning to end and they note the intensity of their feelings. They agreed to do this when they enrolled in the study so they are prepared to endure the reactivated emotion. With a net of wires attached to their bodies to measure physiological changes they tell the story and write it out in full detail. This is the catch. In all likelihood, none of these subjects ever told their stories in detail from beginning to end to anyone before. That includes their therapists, even many specialized trauma therapists, because the usual phobia the victims feel for their traumatic memories stops them in their tracks. The therapists usually assume that the emotion evoked by recounting the trauma story would be too much for the patient to endure and so kindly interrupt the distressing story to protect the patient. Such protectiveness can go on for years, finally to just settle for substitute coping strategies rather than processing of trauma memories. In the lab subjects experience a structured containment for their phobic anxiety and the calming effect of the propranolol counteracts their trauma phobia. The medication thus makes it possible to construct a narrative of the trauma that allows the memory to finally come to closure and be experienced as fully past-tense and over with. This is not the only way to do it. The proper use of hypnosis can construct the narrative. Art therapy can do it by drawing the story as a series of scenes with a beginning, middle, and end. So-called parts work can do it by dialogue and negotiation with inner dissociated parts of the self that continue to experience the traumatic memory as unfinished and always present. Even so, there are individuals who would benefit from medication effects that render the traumatic memories less vehement. Propranolol is useful for some patients going through intensive outpatient marathon treatment programs designed to condense the often lengthy trauma therapy into one or two weeks. A flagship program in marathon treatment, Intensive Trauma Therapy Inc., http://traumatherapy.us/ currently uses the medication adjunctively. How To Grow Organic Tomatoes – Transplanting Your Tomato Seedlings Into Peat Pods

By Joanna Simmons You have babied your organic tomato seeds. They are now beautiful seedlings. Problem is, Kansas City has not yet had it’s last frost. It is too soon to put your tomato seedlings into your garden. Therefore, our little tomato plants are going to have to be gently transplanted into Peat Pots, set out for sun during the day in a greenhouse or maybe a cold frame. To successfully transplant your organic tomato seedlings you will need: * One peat pot for every organic tomato seedling. We are putting ours in 3 inch peat pots. Ideally, the bigger the peat pot the longer you can take to put it in it’s permanent home. * A large, fairly shallow bowl full of water. * A combination of top soil and compost. We are using 1/3 top soil, 1/3 compost, 1/3 Hummus with manure. * Trays. * A spoon or some kind of utensil to lift the plants out. * Popsicle sticks or something similar for labeling each individual plant. Here we go: 1. Over fill your peat pots with your dirt mixture. Being the non-green thumb in this duo, this is my job. I just fill the peat pots then set them in rows on our trays. 2. Carefully, remove each organic tomato seedling. Gently remove the dirt from around it’s roots and then place each individual tomato plant in the water to soak the roots. 3. Make a good size whole in the dirt in the peat pot, place your organic tomato plant inside it. Refill the dirt around the plant – packed just a bit. Then sprinkle dirt back around the tomato seedling so the peat pot is full again. 4. Label each peat pot with which kind of tomato you are awaiting. We use popsicle sticks. 5. Fill water in the tray to cover the peat pots about half way. The secret here is to allow the organic seedlings enough sun, but not to get cold. If you have to, carry them outside each morning, let them soak in the sun, and then bring them in by dark. This is how my sister and I did the organic tomato seedlings last year. For obvious reasons, it’s least favorable. This year my brother -in-law has given us the gift of a make shift greenhouse plus a cold frame – Jackpot!!!!! He enclosed their back porch by making a wooden frame and then covered it with some plastic. Actually, the cold frame is the exact same idea. He just built it small enough to cover the garden area we are going to grow the organic tomato seedlings. There is nothing complicated to transplanting these babies. Grab a partner, then not only are you on your way to having yourself some yummy tomatoes, but you can also solve all the world problems along the way ! You do not have a partner today? No worries. It is hard to think of a better way to mediate and enjoy just being then putting your hands in the dirt and helping these beautiful plants grow! by Joanna Simmons – http://learningthegray.blogspot.com Learn more about growing organic tomatos at http://growingorganictomatoes.blogspot.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Joanna_Simmons http://EzineArticles.com/?How-To-Grow-Organic-Tomatoes—Transplanting-Your-Tomato-Seedlings-Into-Peat-Pods&id=517855 bad credit car loan phoenix texas refinance car loan bad credit cash advance in georgia ingliv paycheck to paycheck

Blackheads Don’t Go Away

By Cyndi Katel People are unclear (including me) how to fight against blackheads and whiteheads. Every product claims they eliminate blackheads and whiteheads. The truth is blackheads and whiteheads are hard to accept they are hard to get rid of. It is hard to win the battle against our clogged pores. Normal working pores produce a normal amount of oil (sebum) that is easily distributed through the pore to the surface of the skin forming a protective barrier. When a regular amount of oil is produced, it effortlessly moves through the pore and out onto the surface of skin, where it melts into a film that forms a protective barrier over the face. Teens really should only use a water-based moisture lotion labeled ‘non-comedogenic’ which means it does not clog pores, says Dr. Barry Leshin, M.D., associate professor of dermatology at the Wake Forest School of Medicine. Heavier oil-based moisturizers can cause an acne-like skin condition directly attributed to the use of cosmetics; (www.fda.gov).When dead skin cells block the path of the oil, you can get blackheads or whiteheads. Cosmetics, creams and lotions can build up in the pore, along with dead skin cells that can get trapped in the sticky oil. When oil and skin cells are sitting in a pore that is open and exposed to the air, the cells turn black. When the oil and skin cells are sitting in a pore that is covered by skin, they are not exposed to air and therefore stay clear, but form a slight white bump under the skin. AHA exfoliants can both remove the excess dead skin cells on the face and exfoliate inside the pore (to improve the shape of the pore, allowing a more even flow of oil through it). Keep in mind that the pore itself is lined with skin cells that can build up, creating a narrowed shape that does not allow for natural oil flow. But don’t get carried away with this step. Overdoing it (removing too many skin cells)can cause problems and hurt skin. Exfoliation is essential for both dry and oily skin to eliminate blackheads or whiteheads Cyndi Katel lives in Tempe, Arizona with her two daughters. She majored in pre-med. She loves skin care and cosmetics and is thrilled to have developed Five Star Nights Anti-Aging Skin Care Line using only botanical, organic, natural, vegan and cruelty-free skin care ingredients in their natural products. The Contract of Marriage

By Dan Jenkins A marriage has two components… the civil and the spiritual. In order for a marriage to be recognized as legal by the government, certain things must exist in order for the marriage to be recognized. These are the same conditions that are required for any contract to be valid: (1) mutual assent by two or more persons to an exchange of promises (bilateral contract) or to an exchange of a promise for performance (unilateral contract), (2) a consideration, and (3) competency of all parties. In a marriage, the mutual assent is between two parties, a man and a woman. The Questions of Intent are still often included in a wedding ceremony. These were originally in the ceremony, when established about 400 years ago, to make sure that both persons were there of their own free will and knew and agreed to the purpose of the wedding. In order for the contract to be legal, both parties must be competent… there must not be any suggestion of impairment. This is why ministers are permitted to refuse to perform a ceremony if he or she has reason to believe that either or both are impaired by drugs or alcohol. Marriage is a serious contract. And, marriage should be respected. Therefore, when either the bride or groom arrives impaired by drugs or alcohol, there is a very clear possibility that they can claim, later on, that they didn’t really know what they were doing at that time, and may seek to void the marriage contract. The consideration: Each party must receive something of value in return for giving something of value. This should be more thoroughly explored by the bride and groom long before the wedding. What is the consideration each is giving the other? Respect? Faithfulness? Love? Employment? Children? Emotional Support? Be there in sickness as well as in health? I had a conversation with a lady today who has been married for two years. They co-habited for seven years before they married. She told me how her husband had changed after the wedding. This is not unusual. Everyone has different expectations of what marriage is about. And, somehow, each expects the other to know and have the same expectations? Psychic? Don’t think so. These things must be discussed in detail before the wedding. Co-habiting does not have any legal or formal requirements for the relationship… each one can walk out without the pain of divorce… but, marriage brings in new expectations, responsibilities and privileges. Do you have clear understanding of what your beloved expects in marriage? If not, you should begin talking soon. Marriage is an honorable institution, and should be approached with respect, anticipation and a sense of responsibility… and, communication is essential. Also, seeking the wisdom of others will save future pain. Dan Jenkins is an ordained minister who has officiated over 300 wedding ceremonies. He is also the author and designer of several websites, and is an Internet entrepreneur. And, now he has entered in a new career as a Realtor, licensed in Georgia. In his study of contracts, he realized how the components of a legal contract should be applied to aspects of the marriage contract. Dan is also a blogger at Dan Jenkins, not the sports writer! Is Lake View One Of Your Riparian Rights?

By Maria Keeney In short, yes. Lake view is one of your riparian rights. If you own lakeshore property, you are afforded the following riparian rights (also called littoral rights) according to the Public Trust Doctrine. 1. Access (right of swimming, boating, fishing, etc.) 2. Navigability (right of access to a point of navigability) 3. Right to erect structures (right to erect docks and boat lifts, etc.) 4. Water use (right to use water for domestic purpose) 5. Accretions (right to land obtained by water level fluctuation) 6. View (right to view and right to preservation of view) There are many ways your right to lake view might be infringed upon. Here are a few scenarios: Pretend you just bought a beautiful lake home with a gorgeous view of the lake. You continue to enjoy this view undisturbed for the next few years. Until one day a neighbor builds a large three story home closer to the shoreline which results in your lake view being severely diminished. You may have purchased a lake home in the winter time. When spring arrives, your adjacent neighbor places their dock and boat lift so that it extends in front of your home and not theirs, obstructing your view as well as your access. Maybe an adjacent neighbor remodels their boat house by the lake making it a double story boat house, which in turn obstructs your view of the lake. Or a tall fence is erected along the property line, which results in your inability to enjoy the same view of the lake you once did. You could also quite possibly have a case for the riparian loss of right to view when you dont even own lakeshore. There was a case that involved ocean views in Florida whereby a condo owner that did not even own lakeshore sued a developer who built a structure directly in front of the condo owners view of the ocean. The condo owner lost his entire view of the ocean but recovered damages in a court of law. The above scenarios may or may not be serious infringements. It most often depends on the characteristics of your lot. Many people just dismiss the loss of a lake view as the cost of development, but others see it as an infringement on their riparian rights. If your lake view has been diminished in some way, you will be glad to know that there are remedies. First, check with your local city or county to determine if there are any ordinances that are being violated. If so, the activity causing the infringement on your riparian right may be stopped. Second, you may be able to communicate with the neighbor who is infringing on your views and ask them to modify their plans. Keep in mind that attempts to resolve these types of disputes with neighbors rarely works because the neighbor has probably already contemplated your loss of lake view during the planning phase and determined they would go ahead anyway. So make sure you keep your communication as non-confrontational as possible to avoid damaging your friendship as well. It is a cheap alternative and one that might work. You are also letting your neighbor know that you oppose his/her actions. The last remedy you can try is to take them to court. Be aware that the law is not clear on decisions regarding the riparian right to view. This is intentional because every situation must be handled uniquely. The nature of shorelines, water level fluctuations, amount of land relative to adjacent owners, what is “reasonable use”, etc could all have impacts on whether the court decides in your favor. Of course, if you have an obvious inequity you stand a better chance in a court of law, but as in all court cases you cannot predict the outcome with any certainty. That said, if you feel that your riparian rights have been infringed upon and have tried other alternatives for remedy to no avail, you can always ask a court of law to decide whether or not monetary or injunctive relief should be granted in your favor. Good luck and enjoy your lake view! Lasik Vision Correction – Look Into It More

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Tim_Grimsley] Tim Grimsley Lasik vision correction surgery is one of many procedures performed today, to correct vision. Other procedures include; implantable lens, CK, and procedures for presbyopia. Only a few years ago this type of procedure would only have been a dream, but today it is possible. People are often concerned about the danger of operating on the eye. Although there are still risk of complications, the risk has been minimized by advances in the procedures. Not all lasik procedures end with patient having 20/20 vision, but the improvement is dramatic and life changing. You will not need prescription lenses of any kind following the procedure. Most doctors will offer a mild sedative prior to the procedure, to calm your nerves. The procedure is painless, and only takes a couple of minutes on each eye. You can usually be driven home 30 minutes after the procedure. Recovery is generally 2 to 4 days. Discomfort is very mild, and your vision begins to get better each day during recovery. During the recovery it is important to follow the guidelines set by your doctor to avoid complications. For the time, money, and effort there is very little offered in the cosmetic medical field that will give more benefits to the patient. Some major cities are also home to some of the pioneers in the field of lasik vision correction. New York boasts several pioneers in this field. After an extensive research process I located a few doctors that were considered at the top of the field. Finding the right doctor is the key to a great experience through out this process.
